Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a certified diver to join this package?
Certified divers will access all 6 guided dives included in the package. Non-certified guests can substitute dives for a PADI Open Water course (available at an additional cost of approximately $450) or join snorkel excursions instead.
What is the dive visibility like in the Maldives?
The Maldives consistently offers 20–40 metres of visibility, especially in the outer atolls and channels. Water temperature ranges from 27–30°C year-round, making a 3mm wetsuit or rash guard comfortable for multiple daily dives.
Is dive accident insurance included?
Dive accident insurance is not included and is strongly recommended — we suggest DAN (Divers Alert Network) cover, which can be purchased online for as little as $30 for a short trip. The nearest decompression chamber is located in Malé.
Can beginners participate in the surfing session?
Yes — the surfing lesson is tailored to your level, and Maldivian reef breaks range from beginner-friendly beach breaks to advanced reef waves. Your instructor will assess conditions and guide you to the most appropriate break for your ability.
How many dives can I do per day?
The included 6 dives across 6 days allows one guided boat dive per day; you can purchase additional dives or morning/afternoon combos directly at the dive centre. The resort's policy follows no-fly guidelines of 18 hours between your last dive and departure.
